My 2nd to the Last Reflection :'c

On my last reflection post, I promised to share you new lessons in the Computer Rm. 3 and in my life. Again, I guess I'll be sharing more lessons in life rather than lessons in ICT IV. It's NOT because Mrs. Vera Cruz is not a good teacher instead activities from the outside world is calling me.
Indeed in every quarter, I learn something new, something worth exerting an effort for. Discovering Microsoft Font Page pushed me to learn more about it on my own. It's like preparing myself to my next chapter of my life, the College. Inspite the hectic schedules, we need to finish our responsibilities in the classroom. We need to submit projects, take quizzes and do all the activities. Having our Extra-Curicular Activities may destruct our Academics. And yes, we need to know our priorities and try maintaining equilibrium. Balance and enjoy everything we do.
I may have shared less lessons today but believe me..our teacher is great. Through this post, let me congratulate Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz for being the MOst Outstanding Secondary Teacher of Vigan City, Year 2009-2010. Moving forward, my last 70 days at ISNHS, I believe I'll learn more and earn more experiences that I'll carry for my College life.

It must be always..must be FOREVER.

Cold breeze, carolings, and 'simbang gabi' mark the beggining of Christmas Season. Every 25th day of December we celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. We buy gifts, decorate our houses with garlands, christmas trees, 'parols' and prepare food for the Noche Buena...But what is the real essence of Christmas?
Christmas is about giving, sharing and loving without waitng something in return. Who haven't heard the song "Give Love on Christmas Day"? It states everything about Christmas. It says how this less fortunate people who don't have anything still give something. It's not the price that counts but it's the thought. A simple card may do when it was made from the heart. Christmas is also about forgiving the people who sinned against you and asking for forgiveness to people you have sinned. It's a season which makes the whole world seem perfect for peace, love, joy and gentleness fill the Earth.
Yes, it is celebrated only once a year. The Christmas season only comes on December but its real essence--loving, giving, sharing and forgiving must be in our hearts FOREVER and ALWAYS.

Strengthening Filipino Values:Response to Challenges of Time

Challenges come without warning. It may come today, tomorrow or next year. We will never know when. We need shields, armors that may come handy anytime--our Filipino Values.
This past months, we experienced lot of hazardous events like Bagyo Ondoy and Pepeng, a natural phenomenon and just last week we heard about the Maguindanao Massacre. Most of us may ask, how can we survive these challenges? Our Filipino Values once strengthen can be our shield. Some lives were saved by the lives offered by the simple heroes at Manila and Northern Luzon when Bagyo Ondoy and Pepeng struck us unprepared. Hopeless citizens saw light at the eyes of people helping them. Bayanihan, one of our values. And now we're all hungry for justice for the lives of people taken by people fearing nobody, not even God. Our Filipino Values--unity,camaradere and love for each other will serve as our armors to surpass this new challenge.
An ordinary girl like me experiences challenges too. Last November, the whole IV-Maxwell was challenged to perform "The Congo" amazingly. The pressure was killing me. Sacrifices were made like going to school every Saturday for practice and spend more time memorizing rather than surfing the internet and watching the television. Some of us even end up fighting because of different beliefs and suggestions for the betterment of the congo but in the end, we united. Yesterday, December 3, 2009, we finally reap our fruits of labor. We delivered it successfully and won 2nd place. Amazing!
They say, life is not colorful without thrills--challenges. A no precaution war, so we must always have our armors. Invisible ones but strong, our Filipino Values. And let this challenges serve as lessonsfor us...and let us not be pulled down.

TWO GARDING PERIOD ENDED..TWO MORE GRADING PERIODS

Two grading periods had passed, two more and the school year will end.

Time really flies fastly. As I'm making this post I ask myself, "how many times have I entered the Computer Room 3 for the last 2 months?" It was then that I realized that for the second grading period we learn less at our school lessons while we gain experiences through school activities. Yet I discovered new things like how hard it is to make a simple html file and how confusing and challenging it is to make a good one.
Though lesser lesson was learned this grading period, at least I gain life lesson. It's like how amazing container tags can't work without their partner while a man needs a companion in life. And how a stand-alone tag tells us that sometimes we need to be alone for us to be independent in facing life's challenges.
Now as I end this post, I'll be hoping that as I'll make my post for the 3rd grading period reflections, 2 months from now, I'll be sharing you some more lessons I will learn in life and in school.

Pictures w/ YOU, My Paper and Pen

My dear teacher
In you I'll remember
All the pictures we'd taken
With you, my paper and pen
Everytime I'm wounded
You came and a tear you shed
Everytime I feel alone
I feel your touch that holds on
It's not just the lesson
I learn in my classroom
Nor the high scores
That diamonds in dad's core
It's the shared emotion
And every realization
The laughters and tears
Even the hidden fears
You're always there for me
Realities and happiness you make me see
Erases doubts and hesitation
My teacher, you're an inspiration
You understand my happiness
Wish I could be your gladness
My hero, you are to me
I won't forget you, you'll see

Filipino Language, Worth Knowing

Ilokano is to Ilocos Region, Pangasinense is to Pangasinan, Bisaya is to Cebu but these three languages have one common denominator that help us communicate as one country, Filipino Langauge.
Filipino Language was believe to be started at Baler, a place where the Spanish soldiers once stayed and hid. Until it spreads in the whole country and was known as the National Language of the Philippines. As an honor, every August we celebrated the "Buwan ng Wika". We acknowledge Manuel l. Quezon being the "Ama ng Wikang Filipino" or "Father of Filipino Language" and the benefits we got for using the language.
Though English is the International Language, we must acknowledge and use our own. We must be proud of it.Even some hollywood stars and known personalities know some Filipino words like "mahal ko kayo" and "salamat." We the Filipino are known for it. Be Out and Be Proud.

the 1st quarter of my last year in ISNHS**computer world

My four years stay at ISNHS gives me four additional years to learn more about Computers. But what's the difference this 1st quarter of my last year here?

I always surf and use the Internet, Blogs, jpeg...etc. But this time i learn deeper information about this terms I encounter at my computer monitor. How ARPANet slowly became Internet. How it is developed and beautified. How amazing it works.

I was challenged using "blogger". I have my own blog before because of friendsters blog but it was my first time to use blogger. I then focus myself on learning and adjusting to the terms and ways of blogger. Til I had been used to it.

If Internet is a " superhighway" because communication and information vehicles ran. Then Senior life is an "expressway" because many challenge and experience vehicles ran so move fast. c;
