A Better Nation starts with Small Steps, Small Changes

I've seen alterations in myself, my family, my peers people surrounding me and in the country I belong. Alterations that are slowly destroying my beloved home. Charter Change, Corruption, Nepotism, Deforestation, High Tide, Air Pollution and Moral Issues like Rape, Massacre and Abortion are spreading viruses that are poisoning the Philippines and its people that Ninoy once defined as "worth dying for."

Watching news and even reading the newspapers stress me. Poverty is ruling the country. We are more than a million and I'm glad if half of it can it thrice a day. Ask the prisoners in the jail why they have done such crimes and most of them might say, "Kapit sa patalim po. Hirap kasi ng buhay eh." People are in pain same as the Mother Earth. Floods and landslides get lives of people. In every trash, another tear falls. Everyone of us can do something to make things right. I may be simple and still young but I know..I CAN DO SOMETHING. Being a better person can start the change that we need. We must be someone better. Find whats wrong with you and make it right, improve yourself and spread the change in you to others, influence them to be a better citizen. Then that simple change can build a great, united, happy nation.

Indeed, nothing is permanent in this world except change. CHANGE that we NEED to do to save the nation. Because a better Nation starts with small steps, small changes.

My 2nd to the Last Reflection :'c

On my last reflection post, I promised to share you new lessons in the Computer Rm. 3 and in my life. Again, I guess I'll be sharing more lessons in life rather than lessons in ICT IV. It's NOT because Mrs. Vera Cruz is not a good teacher instead activities from the outside world is calling me.
Indeed in every quarter, I learn something new, something worth exerting an effort for. Discovering Microsoft Font Page pushed me to learn more about it on my own. It's like preparing myself to my next chapter of my life, the College. Inspite the hectic schedules, we need to finish our responsibilities in the classroom. We need to submit projects, take quizzes and do all the activities. Having our Extra-Curicular Activities may destruct our Academics. And yes, we need to know our priorities and try maintaining equilibrium. Balance and enjoy everything we do.
I may have shared less lessons today but believe me..our teacher is great. Through this post, let me congratulate Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz for being the MOst Outstanding Secondary Teacher of Vigan City, Year 2009-2010. Moving forward, my last 70 days at ISNHS, I believe I'll learn more and earn more experiences that I'll carry for my College life.

It must be always..must be FOREVER.

Cold breeze, carolings, and 'simbang gabi' mark the beggining of Christmas Season. Every 25th day of December we celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. We buy gifts, decorate our houses with garlands, christmas trees, 'parols' and prepare food for the Noche Buena...But what is the real essence of Christmas?
Christmas is about giving, sharing and loving without waitng something in return. Who haven't heard the song "Give Love on Christmas Day"? It states everything about Christmas. It says how this less fortunate people who don't have anything still give something. It's not the price that counts but it's the thought. A simple card may do when it was made from the heart. Christmas is also about forgiving the people who sinned against you and asking for forgiveness to people you have sinned. It's a season which makes the whole world seem perfect for peace, love, joy and gentleness fill the Earth.
Yes, it is celebrated only once a year. The Christmas season only comes on December but its real essence--loving, giving, sharing and forgiving must be in our hearts FOREVER and ALWAYS.
